SSV (Server-Side Verification) and SMV (SIM-based Mobile Verification) are two separate authentication pathways. When SMS delivery fails — due to carrier issues, number porting delays, or network congestion — the failover switches the user to an alternative verification path automatically. Without this, a failed OTP delivery ends the session, and the user abandons. With it, the registration continues.
