BUSINESS
REQUIREMENT
Our client’s vision was to bring all stakeholders to a common platform for collaboration. Doing so would improve operational efficiency and aid in expansion goals.
Key Features Requested
- Quotation request
- Bid evaluation module
- Order management workflow
- Shipment module
- Parts management
- Quality planning tracker
- Supplier profile
SOLUTION
Our research showed that a micro-frontend architecture will tick all the boxes for the platform. We also mapped out a rigorous testing lifecycle to ensure strict quality checks.
Each product would also be deployed individually to reduce dependencies and delays. We would then bring all the different components together with a shell app.
CHALLENGES
The scale of the operation was big and there were multiple moving parts. The nature of the codebased and important dependencies were key challenges. The pivot to a micro frontend architecture helped solved these issues.
Starting off with a monolith application meant we would need to be careful with scale and milestones.
1
The codebase was large with a diverse team of 40+ members. Key stakeholders would need clear execution plans.
2
Cherry picking release code would be a challenge as a singular codebase added layers of dependencies.

OUR APPROACH
We started with a wireframe and built the Most Viable Product (MVP) early. The product was iterated according to feedback given on the MVP. This helped the development cycle to be reduced by a considerable amount and ship the final version in just three-phases.
Understanding & Analysis
We did a detailed analysis of the various interaction points for each stakeholder. The user behavior was then mapped to the features needed to be developed, and milestones planned accordingly.
Development & Shipping of MVP

Phase-wise feature deployment
Once the MVP was shipped we took user feedback on each deployed module. The iterations were made in real time without dependencies on the stage of each feature.
Final Deployment
We deployed a robust micro-frontend application with all key modules perfected. This integrated application can serve as a powerful tool that can handle the entire supply chain management cycle for the client.
PROJECT RESULTS
Supply Dome now serves as the go-to platform for any part request, their cost estimations, inclusion in specific production lines, quality analysis, etc.
All processes needed to get parts from the suppliers to their eventual addition on production grade vehicles are now in the platform. It has made their supply chain management a driver of business goals.
