Wonderful things can happen over a cup of coffee!
It was on a bright sunny morning that Colin and Kevin decided to catch up over a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop. One discussion blended into another and they started discussing how the internet has become an unsafe place today. Immediately, the idea came to them that they should do something about it to help serve the community better. Soon after, Colin was watching a not-so-great movie called “Proof of Life” when the thought of The @protocol came to him. He talked it through with Kevin and it is exactly at that moment that they knew they were on to something.
A few days later, Kevin organized a dinner party with a group of people to discuss the idea. To quote Barbara Tallent, CEO of The @Company, “I didn’t know what it was then, but you could feel the @magic in the air”. After a great discussion over dinner, they were off to the races. Kevin had called everyone the next day to see who was in on their very first day as a company. Colin, Kevin, and Barbara met at Peet’s Coffee and kicked off their meeting; and it was decided that no one could have been a better match for the role of CEO than Barbara.
Why is privacy important and what is an @sign?
When data that is supposed to be kept private gets in the wrong hands, awful and nasty things tend to happen. Imagine the consequences of a data breach at a government agency that could put secret information in the hands of a potential enemy state. Men and women working for the government as secret agents from all over the world could fall prey to the shady quagmire of corporate duplicity and espionage. Similarly, a breach of privacy in a corporation can put proprietary information in the hands of a competitor. Meanwhile, a breach at a school/kindergarten could put students' information in the hands of criminals who could commit identity theft. The thing about the internet is that to interact with most websites, some information is necessary. As we transcend into a digital era, it is important to keep sensitive information private and that is where @sign comes in.
An @sign is your digital identity and it ensures that your data is 100% owned and controlled by you. At present, you can pair @sign with any app on the @protocol to enable the app to access, and not store your data. Here are a few apps from the myriad of many offered by @sign
- @mosphere/ @mosphere pro App
This amazing app makes peer-to-peer encrypted file sharing possible. You can send files across any device regardless of your location, in real time, with the added benefit of total privacy. You can fearlessly share contracts, tax information, or other confidential information without worrying about your data being stored on a server in the cloud.
- @rrive App
With the help of @rrive, you can create events with a clear destination. You can also see where your friends are and their ETAs. To add to that, you can share your location privately, without the fear of your information being tracked and stored on the cloud.
Trailblazers in the Industry
The @Company has received a good deal of media coverage along with immense recognition from the internet community. One such interview and media coverage by Savvy Broadcasting is presented below, where Barbara, the CEO of The @Company could be seen speaking about the company and the journey so far.

Conclusion
The @Company started as an endeavor that would change the idea of privacy on the internet and reduce the digital footprint left behind. They have become a trendsetter in the industry, being the first company to do so. They are not only doing amazing, but their pursuit is changing the way we perceive privacy on the internet. Their innovative findings behind @protocol are revolutionizing digital privacy and truly deserve all the praise that it can get.
From the entire family of GeekyAnts, we would like to wish The @Company all the success and prosperity that’s to come its way and expect to retain the beautiful relationship that we have built with them over our collaborations.
