November was a flurry of events and a very exciting time for GeekyAnts with the hoard of happenings circling around all things React and JavaScript. After a break of almost two years caused by the pandemic, tech enthusiasts were happy to gear up for the prestigious React India along with the first Indian edition of the JS conference.
While we were not able to reconvene in Goa and enjoy the happenings first-hand, the organisers- Manjula Dube and Sahil Mhapsekar, in a conversation with Sanket Sahu, the CEO of GeekyAnts, came up with the next best idea to host this community-led event which was decided to be held in Bangalore for the first time. The international React India conference was held between 11th to 13th of November while the JS Conference India was held on the 15th of November and GeekyAnts was honoured to have been the studio partners for both the events.
React India Remote Edition 2021
This episode of the React India conference was filled with three exciting days of workshops and talks revolving around all things React. From building cryptocurrency trading apps to 360 degree GraphQL, improving web performance and migrating from REST to GraphQL, the first of the conference involved multiple workshops which were both informative and befitting both beginners and for those who are experienced. Both basic and advanced levels of training were offered by industry experts who addressed the latest happenings in React and GraphQL in these workshops.
The following two days consisted of a series of talks which addressed everything from the launch of React 18 and achieving better user experience to community-led movements with React and much much more.
JS Conference India 2021
This year also witnessed the first ever Indian edition of the international JS conference which covered a ton of events happening within the JavaScript community, Organised by Sahil and Manjula, the one-day conference was held at the GeekyAnts premises in Bangalore with Sanket as one of the emcees for the event. With talks happening parallely, the day started off with an enthralling performance by Live JS Network, a collective of digital artists, and was filled with interesting discussions around JavaScript with people gathering remotely to network and explore what’s new with JS.
Awe-inspiring designs were showcased and new coding practices were discussed at length for JS enthusiasts to get inspired and learn. The live streaming of JS Conference India also consisted of talks about VueJS, KeystoneJS, NodeJS as well GraphQL with the attendees having much to talk about. The all-day event was brought to an end in the evening with the closing ceremony by Sanket Sahu, Kushagra Gour and Varsha Saha. You can explore more about the event through this link.
We were delighted to have helped to host this event which covered many developments that had been occurring with React and JavaScript. The year's remote edition of React India was closed by the React India team and it came with the new hope of reconvening physically in Goa for the next version of React India if situations permit.
