GeekyAnts to Attend Money20/20 USA 2026 in Las Vegas as Fintech Enters Its Next Infrastructure Chapter

GeekyAnts will attend Money20/20 USA 2026 in Las Vegas as payments, cross-border finance, AI agents, fraud, and security reshape the infrastructure behind financial products.

A customer taps a button and a payment goes through. What happens behind that tap is becoming one of the bigger engineering questions in fintech.

A single transaction can pass through a payment provider, bank, card network, identity service, fraud system, ledger, and monitoring layer. Take the same product into another country, introduce another currency, or give an AI agent permission to initiate an action, and more parts of that chain have to work together.

Those questions are heading to Las Vegas this October.

GeekyAnts will attend Money20/20 USA 2026 from October 18th to 21st at The Venetian in Las Vegas, with Kunal Kumar, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), representing the company as a delegate. Money20/20 expects more than 11,000 attendees from over 3,400 companies, with participants coming from more than 85 countries. One in three attendees is expected to be at the C-suite level, and the 2026 program includes more than 630 speakers.

The event arrives as the fintech conversation is moving deeper into the systems behind the customer experience.

Cross-Border Payments, Fraud, and AI Are Rewriting the Usual Transaction Process

For years, some of fintech’s most visible changes happened on the screen through faster checkout, mobile banking, digital wallets, new payment methods, and simpler money transfers.

The next set of problems is less visible.

How does a payment platform enter another country without creating a separate operating system for every market? How should an AI agent prove that it has permission to make a payment? How can fraud controls become stricter without adding seconds to every legitimate transaction? And when one service in a payment chain fails, how does the system recover without leaving the customer wondering where the money went?

Money20/20 USA’s 2026 agenda puts many of these questions in the same room.

The program covers agentic AI and autonomous agents, cross-border payments, payment infrastructure, fraud prevention, cybersecurity, identity verification, stablecoins, regulation, and open finance. Its agenda groups sessions under themes including Borderless Financial Architecture, Technology as the Great Equalizer, and Brave New World: Setting Guardrails.

What Does Our Experience With Processing 400M+ Annual Payments Reveal About Scaling Fintech Across Markets

These questions connect with work GeekyAnts has already encountered while building financial products.

In one engagement, GeekyAnts built a centralized admin engine for a North American fintech platform operating across the UK, Canada, Europe, and Australia. The platform supports more than 120,000 active users, while the wider fintech product processes more than 400 million payments annually and has recorded over 350,000 mobile downloads.

Operating across those markets created a problem since teams needed to control regional features, monitor activity, and manage country-specific operations without creating a separate administrative system for each geography. The platform gave administrators one place to manage those controls.

Infrastructure cost creates another version of the same problem.

In a separate consumer commerce platform engagement, GeekyAnts worked on cloud infrastructure that had accumulated over-provisioned resources. Database rightsizing and automated environment scaling reduced monthly cloud expenditure by 60%, cutting approximately $4,800 per month and more than $57,000 per year.

At this point, an architecture decision shows up directly on an operating budget.

These projects represent the side of fintech development that exist behind product screens: architecture, infrastructure, operational controls, testing, monitoring, and the systems required to keep a financial product running as its footprint grows.

AI Is Adding Another Participant to the Payment Flow

Money20/20’s AI discussions introduce another question: what happens when software stops suggesting the next action and starts taking it?

The event’s Cybersecurity Summit focuses on security across payments, open financial systems, and autonomous commerce. Its stated themes include identity, authentication, and authorization for humans and AI agents, alongside API security, data protection, consent, and accountability across connected payment ecosystems.

The 2026 Money20/20 agenda reflects this shift through sessions on agentic-commerce guardrails, AI-agent identity, trustworthy agentic commerce, financial services for AI agents, and the role of AI in payment infrastructure.

For engineering teams, that moves the discussion beyond which model to use. Permissions, APIs, transaction boundaries, audit trails, fallbacks, human intervention, and existing financial systems become part of the AI architecture.

As Kunal Kumar, Chief Revenue Officer at GeekyAnts, said:

''In production, FinTech products need to handle provider changes, data issues, audit questions, and failures without disrupting the customer journey.''

Money20/20 Brings Payments, AI, Fraud Detection, and Security In One Conversation

Money20/20 USA brings together banks, payment companies, fintech businesses, retailers, technology companies, investors, and financial infrastructure providers.

For GeekyAnts, attending as a delegate creates an opportunity to take part in discussions around cross-border expansion, payment reliability, fraud prevention, infrastructure cost, cybersecurity, and AI inside financial workflows.

Expanding into another market changes payment integrations and operational controls. Let’s say, a payment might look like one action to a customer. Behind it, several systems have to agree on who is paying, whether the transaction is allowed, where the money should move, what happens if something fails, and what record needs to remain afterward.

Every new country, provider, currency, payment rail, or automated action adds another variable.

GeekyAnts Takes Its Fintech Engineering Experience to Money20/20, Las Vegas

GeekyAnts’ participation at Money20/20 comes after 20 years of engineering work since 2006 and more than 550 engagements across products and enterprises.

Our work spans AI engineering, fintech, application modernization, frontend and backend engineering, cloud, DevOps, quality engineering, and product development. We have worked with publicly referenced organizations including Darden, WeWork, SKF, Thyrocare, ICICI, Olive Garden, and PayPoint. Our engineering work also includes open-source projects such as NativeBase and gluestack-ui and contributions to the React Native ecosystem.

Money20/20 USA gives the team a chance to discover how banks, payment companies, fintech platforms, infrastructure providers, and technology teams are approaching the same questions now appearing inside production systems.

Kunal Kumar, CRO at GeekyAnts, will represent GeekyAnts at Money20/20 USA from October 18th-21st, 2026, at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

As fintech enters its next infrastructure chapter, the conversation is moving beyond what happens when a customer taps “Pay.” It is increasingly about everything that has to work before, during, and after that tap.
